Day 7/10

It’s been a long time coming but today brings to an end of sixteen years and almost ten months of having two children permanently at home.

Two young people that Clare and I will miss dreadfully but at the same time are very proud of as they set off on the next chapter of this experience called life.

Today they have both been a bit more ‘clingy’ than usual, a few tears, lots of laughter, lots of reminiscing.

We started off with Clare’s X-Ray and then headed off to Truro to sort the funding of this weekend;
2 x Hotels
2 Days Meals For 4
2 x Vehicle fuelling
2 x Children’s “Come-In-Handy” money.

Once that was completed home to do the vehicle checks, Sam and I wandered down town so Sam could hand over her thank you cards. A coffee with a Father-Daughter chat and some rare time alone together before continuing the hunt for ‘Kiwi Light Tan’ shoe polish (not available in Truro or Falmouth) and a taxi home.

The evening was spent sorting out Sam’s packing, dinner and James Bond on TV. Josh went out to say cheerio to his friends.

A subdued day and evening!
