A Spider's Feast

Location: Just up the road from where I live

A bit of an emergency blip.  As ever I carried the camera as I headed out for a walk in pleasant afternoon sunshine.  I'd noticed this spider and web on a neighbour's hedge, but didn't think much more of it.

On the way back, having taken a few photos, I noticed it again, this time complete with an ant, being dealt with efficiently by the spider.  The sunlight was lower, allowing deeper shadow behind it, I tried a few shots, but only this one has the spider in focus.

Other than that it was an uneventful day.
