Las Colonias
Starting a long haul of back blips. Bear with me and no need to comment!
Bb came back from Scotland. Dot and I wandered through Las Colonias and onto dinner in Allegria on Plaza Concordia, where Bb joined us later straight from the airport from Scotland. An evening of gratefulness after yesterday.
Our trainees were amazing this morning. Six out of 12 of them were each teaching 40' minute lessons this morning. We weren't even sure if any students would turn up after yesterday's attack. Some did and classes went ahead. The trainees were absolutely professional, held themselves together so well and then after the classes were over and there was a minute's silence outside the school a few of them crumpled and there were lots of tears and hugs. For some of these young folk, it's their first time away from home and in a foreign country. Lucy (see the group pic at the end of the course if you're interested) has just turned 20 and I had to hug her really tightly to get her to stop shaking.
When my friend and co-trainer Philippa left the school and walked with each other to our bus stop/train station it hit us and we were hugging and crying.
