Memorial

This is a small memorial in Las Ramblas, Barcelona, for the victims of the terrorist attack back in August. The signs says something like 'lets do something to stop these atrocities happening around the world'.

Tuesday 12th, eleventh day of my holidays. I was hoping to go to the beach, but the weather man had got it all wrong and I woke up to a rather cloudy day. I went for a walk before lunch and then into town for some errands in the afternoon. I noticed that the streets in the Old Town were quieter than usual and there was police everywhere. I guess it was because of the high terrorist alert in that part of town.

In the evening I met my sister Neus for dinner and then her boyfriend joined us for a couple of drinks. They were leaving for a holiday in Portugal the next day and they had to get up early, so we didn't stay long.
