Clocking out

Apologies for not replying to kind comments over the past few days. All rather full on tidying up before heading to the sun. Michael O'Leary permitting. At least we are not on the cancelled list so far.

This evening we had a gathering to mark the departure (actual or pending) of Ava, Alyson, Lesley and Lindsay. Great to catch up and renew friendships.

In the afternoon I was at a meeting held in the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh. They have some wonderful displays of old items and equipment, including this clock punch system, used apparently into the 1980s to register clocking in and clocking out.

If I had a card I would have punched it as I am now off for 2 weeks.

Now to pack as we leave the house at 5am!
