Blowing in the wind

Another beautiful day and it's the last day of September! I can't believe it's October tomorrow...

This morning we walked to the local Sunday brocante, and I actually made a purchase! Then we walked to Plancenoit and across the battle fields behind the Butte du Lion where we saw these lovely poppies blowing in the wind. I love the way the Butte looks so small in the distance. You can see it better close up.

I was surprised to see so many poppies in bloom as normally they're out earlier in the year, but thinking about it poppies are used for Remembrance Sunday in November.

It was a lovely walk of about 8 kms in total, and then we went for a drink to our local brasserie when we got back. We sat outside in the sun as it was about 17 degrees.

Anyway, it's time for dinner - steak, baked potatoe & salad. Hope you're having a good Sunday!
