Dinner at Cove Park
For the past year I have had an invitation to visit Cove Park which provides a space for artists to develop their practice and to think and grow and which is located in Argll and Bute though just outside my constituency.
Seona Reid , whom I have worked with often in her various roles including in the Arts Council, as Principal of Glasgow School of Art and as the Fulbright Commissioner for Scotland , is the Chair of the Trustees and the person who initially urged me to come and see what is being done.
I am very glad to have been able to do so tonight (at last) ,to meet so many people who are committed to the ideas that Cove Park embraces ( and particularly Peter Jacobs its founder), to have such eclectic and wide ranging conversations , to enjoy such a fine dinner , to have heard so many views on Brexit and the need for it not to undermine the arts and to leave refreshed and inspired by such positive enthusiasm for the creative possibilities in each human being despite the current state of the world we live in.
