Loch Ness
I was all set to blip the darling border collies we watched herding sheep this morning on our way to Inverness. It was raining and umbrella-inside-out blowing but Shepard Neil gave us a great demo with his many dogs.."you have to train them slow so they enjoy it or they will get moody ". what a hard life ..there used to be 60 Shepard in this area.. now there are 2. (extra... he's got a 15 mo pup tucked under his arm and has just told the others to line up after herding this bunch. )
But somehow the rainbow over Loch Ness and Urguhart Castle , built in the 1200s and destroyed in the 1600s says "blip me". We had lunch and a wander in Inverness then took a 30 min. VERY windy boat ride to the castle .( I think you can appreciate all the white caps). .. a picture postcard place... walked up that tower and all around, imagining life here.. ...and as we were having a coffee before getting back on the bus... this appeared and who could resist? Decided not to draw that monster in the water in this.... will add it to the Flickr set after we are back. :-)
Can't do the link but this is an interesting place... and the hotel here in Inverness has good wifi... so posting this early before we go out together for dinner at the Mustard Seed.
