No light no light
There was no light in Andrew's mind and heart. His paranoid schizophrenia and self-isolation from his family left him in darkness with nothing but feelings of despair and being persecuted. What could his friends and family have done to help him? Probably nothing, other than intervention and forcibly having him admitted to a mental hospital. Problem was, he didn't act like a deranged person and instead, kept to himself, occasionally joining his workmates for a beer after their shift ended. He didn't act like a deranged person until Thursday afternoon, when being fired from his decade long job snapped his mind and sent him plunging into total darkness with no way out. On his way down, he took with him five innocent individuals. There is no sense in it. It'll spark discussions about gun control again, like a tragedy of its nature always does, it may bring up discussions about mental ilness and how to recognize a ticking time bomb but in the end, it'll fade in the public's memory just as it always does.
