Tidal Wave
Wow, that must have been a fantastic bath. This little yellow breasted robin has caused a virtual Tidal Wave. We had a great day at our new photo club in Blackheath this morning and we have been issued a challenge from Beckett to come up with a spectacular image of a bird about to take flight. This was the result of my first practise session and I may be posting a few more attempts before we have to submit our special shot for Beckett to critique. I have also posted an extra of the little robin and you can just see a little bead of water on its beak after taking a big gulp of water. You can rest assured CCN and I will be staking out the bird bowls for the next fortnight.
We had a lovely couple of hours we had with a group of very passionate photographers. I have a really good feeling in my bones about the new group. Our first two sessions have been incredibly interesting and this morning Beckett gave us a really terrific incite into how to photograph birds and in particular birds in flight.
We arrived home to find our fire fighting maintenance program in full flight. Michael and Ben spent seven hours today clearing what is considered fuel for the fire away from the house. It's the side to the south east of the house and we have worked hard over the past few years to keep it as clear as we can. We really need to call in the "Big Guns" every now and again because it's just too much for a "Senior" wombat to manage. The fellas did an amazing job and we feel we can sleep easier now.
