The League of Gentlemen

Andy and I spent a few minutes watching a scene being filmed for a forthcoming "special" episode of The League of Gentlemen, one of the funniest and darkest TV comedies in recent decades. The scene involved actor Mark Gatiss, a dog and a plastic bag.

Each series of the programme, set in the fictional small town of Royston Vasey, has been filmed in Hadfield, Derbyshire.  The Charity Shop featured in today's scene is, Andy (one of Hadfield's "local people") tells me, not so very different to an actual shop in the town.
