Conker time

There were lots of conkers under the tree in the centre of the village today - they look so beautiful and shiny when they've just fallen. I brought some home to put in corners of my living room and bedroom to deter the house spiders. It's probably an old wives tale but worth a go!

This morning my son was interviewed on Today on Radio 4. He's senior reporter for an airport magazine so was talking about the demise of Monarch Airlines. He had to be at Broadcasting House at 6.00am and I woke early and put the bedside radio on. Unfortunately I fell asleep and missed his interview! Luckily he sent me a link so I did get to hear it.
