Hello Tasmania!

After 12 days on the mainland we have now arrived in Tasmania which will be our home for the next 6 months! Very exciting as we descended through the cloud and the island came into view. Charlotte recognised some of the places she'd visited last March. The photo looks out over the Freycinet peninsula, with the famous wineglass bay on the left hand side of the narrow stretch - so called because of the shape of the bay and because the colour of the water in the bay would change to a dark red back when Tasmania was a key spot for whalers in the 19th century
