New bikes

Today we got bought new 2nd hand bikes for only $125 each, complete with a rear rack, and two spare inner tubes. We immediately took them out for a ride with Jeff who was showing us some of his favourite routes. All good for the first 20mins until Charlotte's chain came off, not a big issue until we discovered that it had in fact irreparably damaged the chain and she could no longer pedal with any force at all! Then I got a puncture (pictured) to add to the misery. Fortunately Jeff helped us out and got us back along the swiftest possible route... Fingers crossed the next outing will be more successful! There are miles of single track mountain bike tracks within 1km of cycling out the back door... this is great!
