The Fiesta was due a service today. Usually my husband takes it but this time I decided to go too. We dropped the car off at 8.30 then he had a haircut while I wandered around a few shops.

After a coffee we walked up to Kendal Castle and that was when the garage phoned to say they had found a noise that needed investigation …….. the car might not be ready until 4 o’clock (the original time was 12.00). I volunteered to stay in town while he got the bus home. I was relieved when I got a call to say I could collect it at 3.
