Carpet of leaves

Most years I am surprised by how late leaf fall is.

Not this year. I think Autumn is two to three weeks in advance of last year, when many trees held their leaves - albeit with a lot of colour - into late October/early November. This year the limes and maples in front of and to the side of the civic centre are thinning fast.

Hoola Hoops will be making an appearance on the lawns tomorrow. Apparently.
