Stormy weather

Last night there was a good going thunderstorm which knocked out the power.

Around 5 am the next round of storm began. Continuous sheet lightning for 4+ hours non-stop with thunder crashing from near and afar. It was lik3 having a hundred fluorescent tubes flickers no at once. I have various videos clips showing the incessant nature of what was one of the most impressive nature displays I have seen - and on some occasions quite scary.

The blip shows a brief moment of the storm but at any point you did not know where the next flash was going to come from. The srotm was everywhere.

Unsurprisingly we had a quiet day and at least in the late afternoon the sun tried to shine through. I would not liked to have been at sea or in the air during the storm, especially with the very high winds.
