Manuel and Alda
Such a good day.
Good friends from our time in Mora rang up yesterday to ask if they could come today... I was still in bed when they arrived! They came bearing plants for the garden - which she then planted, pipes and railings and lots of enthusiasm and energy and ideas and local know-how.
Up at the land, they gave good advice about a terrace we wanted to do, and then got stuck in, hauling rubble to start making it - pouring with sweat - it's gone back to being in the mid-30's - no joke in the sun.
We then went down to the beach for a swim and back here for lunch from yesterday's left-overs, and then they helped us to find a better deal on the solar panels, and then we went walking in Luz - this was taken on the walk to the jetty. And then a beer at Luz's social club - which we'd never have gone in without him, plus he got the Venezuelan (!) bar lady (married the manager, met on internet) to serve us snacks he saw she was serving to others there (for free).
All this as the sun was setting and the almost full moon was rising. Only nine extras left, but have to show you at least one of Luz's skyline as we chatted.
And then they left, apologizing for having done so little for us...
