Threlkeld Quarry

The weather forecast for today was pretty awful with heavy rain spreading from the west. So we headed east for the morning, to visit Aira Force waterfalls. We did encounter light rain showers but it wasn't too bad and we got some reasonable photos: this one shows some of the small cascades above the Falls thermselves. We were lucky too, as we met fellow blippers LooseCanon and Technophobe who are staying in their cottage at Keswick this week.

The afternoon was indeed wet, wet,wet - so we went to Threlkeld Quarry Mining Museum to photograph some of the industrial relics of which they have a massive collection, many of which are indoors. Hence the extra blip photo.
