Cleaning up after little brother
Today has been better than expected, I thought I was in for a tough day - nothing to do with the boys, all to do with my night out last night and 2am bed time. Aside from nearly telling a lady in Waitrose that reading the 'announcements' section of the paper by the door, was causing a trolly jam, unhelpful when pushing a trolley and holding a small boy under your arm... I refrained, and mentally gave myself a gold star.
I did cheat today - the boys fell asleep in the car on the way back from the Grandparents, so I thought the best thing to do was follow my husbands advice and also have a sleep. I think he's still in shock that I followed his advice....
Took the boys out for a walk this afternoon - we had a fab time, the youngest walked lots of it, both of them ate the apples that were actually for the horses and the eldest cleaned up the road where the youngest deposited the skin from his apple. I'm totally bemused why the road gets tidied up and yet my kitchen floor doesn't receive the same treatment.
Heading off for an early night, I'm told (by my husband) that the more sleep I have, the better it is for family harmony. So I shall (once again) take his advice.
