S, M and I took part in a protest action today against the Adani coal mine which has received government approval and tax concessions to go ahead in Queensland. Not only is it a potential threat to the Great Barrier Reef because of construction and increased shipping, it will also be adding to global warming. There has also been recent suggestions that the company has breached environmental laws in India and that statements they have made that they will be providing cheap energy to India's poor may not be quite accurate. Worth getting our red on to join the protest.
