inspired by a window
Kendal is full of interesting windows. This one, in the Stramongate area, is set into the building next to the old Quaker school. The fan shape above it seems to be made of metal. Is this unusual, I wonder?
We went to a talk last week, given by Jamie Barnes, a local artist with a passion for Kendal's buildings and a very personal way of interpreting them. He helped me to look at new buildings especially with more of a discerning eye. I can't draw, so I am so pleased to have the eye of a camera to record these simple things.
Thank you, Jamie Barnes.
