Golden Sunshine
Taken from the office window.
In Auggie Wren's Christmas Story, a story about a story, Auggie takes a photograph every day from the same spot outside his cigar store. There are faces that always appear in the photograph and some unknown, and Auggie imagines stories for the characters. Paul, a frequent visitor to the cigar shop is suffering from writer's block while writing a Christmas Story for the New York Times. When discussing this with Auggie, Auggie offers these stories in return for lunch. (A very brief synopsis!!!) (Also the story appears twice in the film Smoke)
Unlike Auggie Wren, my characters are not visible. I am left with the same view as the seasons change. There are no characters, they are behind windows, or behind me in the office.
The view's good though. Its autumnal. Golden.
