PC Plod in trouble
This is Irene, one of our volunteer back-ups. She was on the team for today's long walk. When the group arrived back at the Comrades Club for refreshments, they were all teasing her about how she had "stripped off and lost a walkie talkie"!
Poor Irene had divested herself of a layer of clothing - it was warm out today - and managed to drop the walkie talkie. When she realised, she retraced her footsteps and found it. Since she used to be a police officer, the group thought this was hilarious. (You probably had to be there.)
Irene is also teased because she was in the police force but has size 3 feet.
I worked all day on the Slideshow for Wednesday night. It's been lovely to see lots of old photos; bittersweet at times, because some people are no longer with us.
I drove to Haltwhistle to meet both walking groups when they returned from a great day out. I'm walking again tomorrow.
Maureen sold calendars and teeshirts and I offloaded large quantity of cooking apples to willing recipients.
Geoff passed his LRPS today - great news, especially after his fractures yesterday.
