Haines

Arriving shortly before ten to catch the headliner, there was something of an 'end of the party' atmosphere to the Nottingham Pop! All-Dayer at the Maze. I think a good number of the city's indiekids had tired themselves out bopping to Fever Dream and decided to call it a night. Mr. Haines played accordingly: a short solo set, heavy on oldies, no encore. Good stuff, though, and he did find time do a quick straw poll of the audiences' favourite Monkee, drink a glass of red and sing a verse or two of '2541' in memory of Grant Hart...
