Reading Atonement

It was on a pre-A-Level reading list of 'proper literature' or some such (interestingly enough the only book on it that we actually owned was 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas') and apparently she enjoyed it a great deal. I had to admit that I've never read it, but my contribution of 'isn't that the film where they have sex in the Library' officially makes me the least cultured person in the house right now...

We also went to see some really good photos (the Roger Mayne exhibition at Djanogly) and ate a Spanish stew with beef shin (and Yorkshire Puddings - does that count as 'fusion cuisine...!?')
