Volunteers

9th October 2017:

Now and again people make contact with us to see if they can volunteer with us in Malawi.
This is a picture this evening of two couples, from left: Kevin and Laura, with Aine and Sandy. outside Terminal 2, Dublin Airport, ready to depart for Addis and later to Lilongwe, Malawi.
Kevin is from Donegal, Laura from Mayo. Aine and Sandy are from Cork.
They are planning to volunteer with us for nearly three months.
They will arrive in Lilongwe about 1pm tomorrow where Harisen will meet them and do the 5 hour drive North to Mzuzu, their home for the next few months.
They are very special young people and will be amazing with all those the work with and help.

As you will have seen we are supporting about 250 girls in secondary school this year, and the big request from Florence who manages the Girl Child Project, was for underwear for them.
So, much of the luggage you see here contains Nickers and Bras, to give our girls a little dignity.
People are so generous and we love then for it

Over the next weeks and months you will get a chance to see these guys  in action, through our blips.
