Covent Garden

Although the focus of my little trip isn't the Royal Opera House, I just thought this view, from behind the statue of the ballerina summed up the morning feeling of this area.

I've stayed at a lovely little hotel, just near to this vantage point and it was ideal for my solo venture. I'm meeting a friend later today and we're sharing a hotel in Kensington close to the Royal Albert Hall for tonight's Classic Brit Awards.

Andrea Bocelli, Milos(!) and Nicola Benedetti will certainly be performing. There will be some surprises too. And it will be recorded for ITV for later this month

And Russell Watson and Andre Rieu will also be performing but........
