It's orchid watering day!
Every two weeks I gather all my orchids together onto the kitchen draining board and fill their outer pots to the brim with rain water to which feed has been added. They soak for about half an hour and then I take them out of the outer pots and let them drain. I have seven, and four are in flower at the moment. There is one very small one in flower (in the front of the picture) and I am so proud of this little chap. One of the bigger orchids produced a leaf half way up a flower stem so when the flower had finished I planted this section of stem and it rooted and produced a new plant. It has probably been three years from start to flowering, but I'm so pleased with it. However, I don't think I'll go into production!
