Going for gold!

Accompanied Helen and Gracie on a walk around Darley Abbey Mills. The mills were once cotton factories, now converted into offices, businesses and a wedding venue.

Helen's hubby and son are members of a kayaking club which is also based there anted today was Ben's first slalom competition.

He only went and won gold!!

Sadly, we missed it! We went round to a restaurant to sit out on the terrace with cake and hot drinks to watch. Sadly, although he wasn't even lining up to start when we left the side of the canal, he'd finished by the time we'd made it round to the restaurant!

The extras show the terrace ( the umbrellas to the left ) above the canal, viewed from where we were standing waiting and Gracie hoping we'd share something with her once we'd been served. We didn't!
