A quick fuchsia snap today. I'm back blipping as didn't have time to post this before we had to get ready and then drive the three hours down to Yate, near Bristol.

One of Sav's ex work colleagues was having a surprise 30th birthday bash so we booked a room near to the venue and went to help him celebrate.

Yate will have changed somewhat since the first mention of it in 770. Not least noticeable is the ma-hoo-sive Tesco's. Forget Tesco Extra, this is Tesco XXL! Around it is a complex containing another 100 shops, restaurants, Morrisons, Lidl, a cinema, the fire brigade and ambulance services and health centre. I guess as Wikipedia now puts the population of Yate at about 35,000, there are plenty of people supporting all the businesses there.
