RAF Buntingsdale Hall

Using filmgrain. This lovely old Hall used to be the RAF Officers Mess when the RAF where posted to Tern Hill in years gone by. The billets and the guard room have all gone and the Hall has been returned to private ownership - and Tern Hill is now an Army base instead of RAF. However, the Hall and the area surrounding it sums up an era gone by and is full of memories for so many I am sure so had to be captured in a nostalgic process.

Today started promisingly weather wise but soon turned into a grey and early Autumn one. I made myself put on wet weather stuff and go for a walk after work and went up the road close to my house to get yet another shot of this lovely old building. Once I leave the 30mph sign not far from my house I am out in the country lanes which I love and apart from a few dog walkers and runners there are very few cars as it is now a private road, so I can meander to my heart's content with fields of cows, sheep, horses, crops, views and gorgeous old Oak and Beech trees to my right and left.

Dinner is late again - sorry Mr. T.
