High above us

I was about an hour too late in going down to the water's edge this afternoon. The incoming tide had covered most of the waders' feeding ground, and none was seen except for some oyster catchers on the rocks, and the solitary heron high in the branches of a tree part way up the sloping bush clad cliff.

I have added an extra photo; a Caspian Tern which looks like it is the one I often see by itself or with oyster catchers
