Walking along a scenic canyon trail.

Today we took a bus for 11 km, starting our walk at a monastery. We walked for 7 miles along a ridge looking down into a ravine. The terrain was through stoney ploughed fields, along narrow wooded (shady) paths with scratchy branches sometimes in the way, and other rough steep stoney slopes! We had a wonderful picnic of cheeses, tomatoes, bread, wine, capers, grapes etc under some trees. A wonderful day out!
