Scout Hut If Wet

With dire weather warnings for today we decided on indoor pursuits if wet. As it turned out the day was fine, a few showers and no wind. We  managed 7,000 steps no problem. It did however at 2:30 at Inverness Airport get as dark as night (see extra). It felt incredibly strange.

Anyway, bookshop first thing. Amazing place, some real gems in there but you need a bit of luck finding them - the organisation is haphazard. Also a real shame the owner is a miserable git. The real surprise it has a great roaring open log burner in the middle! I'd love to see the risk assessment.

Later a superb lunch, soup and a cheese sample board with oatcakes. The portions were so generous we doggy bagged most of it, then we hit the shop we were treated to tasting most of their stock. Their cheeses are wonderful. Our fridge is now full, as are we.
