I'm in heaven ...

Waikiki was transformed by a strong southerly swell.   As you can see, the waves weren't that big, but the washboarding was spectacular (see extra).  The wind is blustery as well.  Try looking large & against black.
The second extra is the Pacific Paradise,  the fishing boat hung up on the reef off Kaimana Beach.  She caught fire while trying to get her ready to tow off and now must contend with the vulgarities of the waves pushing her more unto the reef.    Very sad sight and very close to shore.
