Maggots in stumps

Spent the whole day locating and examining the sixty pine stumps in the woods. Luckily it was a fine day, warm and dry. We didn't find any Blera but found lots of Myathropa and Callicerra.
There were lots of Crested Tits, Wrens and Woodpeckers in the wood and Geese on the loch.
