Golden day...

walking up the glen in hot sun, deep shadow where the sun had not yet appeared over the ridge, listening to the roar of stags, watching the red coats of the hinds gleaming in the sunlight, just wonderful.
Later, back at the car, sitting with the door open a Red Admiral landed on my shoulder! Saw several more.
