Dates

I've blipped dates before, but not at the old souk. I even tasted a fresh one. There are many date sellers, including some who sell from tiny shops with glass fronts. I wonder if there's are more special.

I met up with friends, including one who is unexpectedly moving on. We had a good dinner at the souk. Grills and salad. We were overcharged, by 10kd - 25gbp. I felt it wasn't right but was tired and not thinking straight. Oh well, they need the tip.

We did a bit of food shopping, and secured the services of a trolley boy. They follow you, you pay them and voila, life is easy in this country where service is important. I struggle with service here. It's more than is necessary but that's how it's done.
