The photograph in Extras for today is very special. I was lent it by one of the regulars at Thursday morning Communion to scan a copy of. It was taken in about 2010 at St Luke’s. In it, in their usual places for the Thursday service, are Mum and Dad. I sit in Dad’s chair now. Fitting and poignant that I should come into possession of the image this week, as it would have been Dad’s 93rd birthday tomorrow.

Mum and I went to Perrywood’s for a cup of tea in the afternoon, and many beautiful pink cyclamen plants were arranged behind the seating in the entrance, ideal for Pinktober.
