Boyfriend

Today my boyfriend booked a trip to York for us both for my birthday. I don't usually do birthdays as I see them as irrelevant and I don't get excited or thrilled for them. It's just another day to receive presents for no apparent reason other than the fact that you exist. But now I will be doing something. The last trip we took together, in fact all of the trips we've taken together, brought us closer together, and this will definitely be the same. I am excited for the day, not for my birthday as such, but for him.
