Pale bird

Up at 4 a.m. again and off down to Folkestone for the Channel Tunnel.  Uneventful and swift crossing as always.  From Calais we drove in strong winds across to Rouen and then down to Chateauroux for the night.  Lovely hotel and we treated ourselves to dinner.  The roast pheasant looked a lot paler than I am used to but it was delish.
