Ballooniverse

Our local art museum has been hosting an installation by balloon artist Addi Somekh; this final dragon piece is a collaboration with fellow artist David Brenion and fills an entire gallery.  Along with photographer Charlie Eckert, Addi Somekh has traveled to almost three dozen countries, making balloon hats for people and photographing them for a book, The Inflatable Crown. There is a great shot of a camel wearing a balloon necklace in the middle of the desert. We made our own balloon hats, but I had trouble tying the knots.
