CORNELIUS DAY

Sorry I didn't blip yesterday, got halfway through and fell asleep before I published it.

#Think Happy....Positive Attitude....perfect T shirt for today.
# 7:30 bus to hospital....
#The Rev (in his stylish stockings) was taken down to theatre at 8:30. I walked down with him...mistake... when he and the nurse went in I was left alone:(((
Then Em and I went for breakfast....bargain...7 items for £4!!
#The wait seemed to go on forever. We sat with J for a while whilst he, K and Oscar played board games(of course you do before major surgery!!!

Mum and M came as J was called at 11:45
Hooray Cornelius has been safely removed.

#J doing a power to the NHS salute!! This time K, Oscar and I went down together.

More wandering around....lunch (featured on Mums blip!!) and a stroll in the sun...it was a glorious day.
Apparently they struggled to wake the Rev (dozy so n so) so 6+ hrs later the Rev returned. After a few tears from both of us he dozed off again. J was in recovery soon after but also took a while to wake. He eventually came back to the ward at 5:30..brief smile and a thumbs up. K and Oscar arrived moments later.
Mum and M started the journey home. It was great to have them there and their support, cuddles and chats were invaluable.
Em and I stayed with them for a while longer then caught the bus back in The Revs brother's to celebrate his 60th birthday with a really yummy Chinese takeaway and few glasses of wine. Just what we both needed. .
