There's a Time for Everything.
We bunked off from our 'must do today' tasks - painting the pantry and fixing the stove lid - and went over the hill to 'Born in the Borders' for a walk along the river bank, and a cheese scone in the cafe.
Another day of dazzling sunshine - throwing the contours of the fields and hedge rows into sharp relief. The winter barley seems to have greened up overnight in the mild damp weather.
We were home by lunchtime. This afternoon the painting progressed, and TM put a new spring in the lid so I can now lift it without grunting. So all is well.
And, the weekend is here. Have a good one, everyone.
