God Of Thunder

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

All of the Princesses went to see Thor: Ragnarok today. We LOVED it. It is very very funny. There is a lot of very kiwi humour from Taika Waititi. My only criticism would be that there weren’t enough scenes with Loki in them!

The Prince and I went to meet up with some friends in the evening. We went to Howies for dinner and then to George IV bar for drinks. Sometimes I find nights out with a bigger group a bit of a chore, but it was one of those rare nights out where everyone was in great form. It helped that I positioned myself right next to the people I really like at the dinner table so I didn’t have to engage in any dull small talk. Later in the evening, we ended up chatting to two bonkers people from Durham. They were in their late fifties and had come up to Edinburgh for Halloween in full vampire costumes to go to Frankenstein bar. Must have looked interesting on the train! In a very mature moment, possibly under the influence of a couple of lemonades, Old Nick thought it would be funny to see how many things we could steal from the table and stash in his wife’s bag without her noticing. She was quite surprised to find a salt and pepper mill set, a bottle of tomato ketchup, a bottle of HP and the condiment stand in there at the end of the night.
