autumn harvest

I'm told that the CEO and HR are to consider my request for leave, so I wait. Had a very long and madly busy day at work with everything being rushed through at double speed due to the reduction of staff.
Late home to an empty house this evening, which is very unusual, Hubs is in Clough Jordan at the Eco village where we have built our house (another story another day). I normally love having the house to myself, but tonight I just had a cuppa and went to bed at 10.20 pm!
This is one tray of the apples from the scrumping last weekend. Some will be stewed this weekend and go in the freezer, the best ones will be stored and used over the autumn and winter (if they last). I should try and find some black berries too. I might give the myrtle berries a go, I've only ever eaten them straight from the bush so don't know how they cook.
