Frosty

On a warm day following our first frost I found this fine example of rime - not outdoors but in a faulty upright freezer in Sainsbury's. The largest piece is around 5cms high.

I stood and studied it for some time, nose against the glass door, admiring the delicacy of the 3-dimensional structure and light reflecting off its planar surfaces. Shoppers ambled past in search of frozen foods. Perhaps I should have told them 'I'm not mad, I'm a Blipper'.
