Black Whitesands

I left a few minutes earlier on my way to work, so I stopped-off at Whitesands, Dunbar, East Lothian to take advantage of the very promising sunrise.

Big promise

This is from the crest of the rise, spotted on my way down to the beach, and then the cause of some hasty reversing as I spotted it in my rear-view mirror on my way out again. The shots from lower down were quite nice too, but this really stood out for me.

The road is on the left of the picture then the passing place I parked in (sorry!), the pavement cycle-path and then the new lake formed in the limestone quarry for the cement works. Ahead is the sea and the Barns Ness Lighthouse virtually central.
