Autumn Collection
It was good to get today completed. The first task was to chair a teleconference meeting for an hour or so which although I've done several times before I never look forward to with any pleasure. Then I had to write a referee report where it was difficult to say what needed to be said. Nothing wrong technically, very competent but he has aspects of his game he needs to address.
After that it was shopping, then scanning and doing work on behalf of Doreen to get her patio door repaired. Then a letter from Bearsted Parish Council regarding the allotment fire saying, essentially, tough. That's not the end of the matter though. Then bill paying and moving money which involved the use of many passwords and usernames where it was very easy to get things wrong and I did!
The day ended better with some nice photos of Landon and overnight there were more of him in his First Halloween outfit. There were hoards of people and children out on the streets when we went out walking, more than we've ever seen. Did some reading up about the "traditition" of Halloween and it seems that, like Christmas, the Christian festival of All Hallows was in fact taken from a much earlier Pagan festival dating back at least 1900 years.
